چکیده

Abstract Fast, sensitive, high-throughput detection of coronavirus antigens at physiologically relevant levels is essential for population screening that could prevent epidemics such as the current COVID-19 global pandemic. Optical methods based on surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) spectroscopy are promising this purpose because they ensure quick even single biological molecules in a sample. For achieving high sensitivity, it crucial to design SERS-active systems concentrating incident radiation into small sample volumes. Here, metal-dielectric cavities have been obtained through interaction protein sulfhydryl groups with silver surface. The concentration light these allows differential spike glycoprotein and nucleocapsid SARS-COV-2, which its key antigens, concentrations. cavity Q-factor can be increased by additionally covering dielectric film shell form an ultrathin cavity, provides least tenfold enhancement signal. results used specific sensitive viral diagnosis infections.

Surface-enhanced Raman scattering

We present an introduction to surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) which reviews the basic experimental facts and the essential features of the mechanisms which have been proposed to account for the observations. We then review very recent fundamental developments which include: SERS from single particles and single molecules; SERS from fractal clusters and surfaces; and new insights into t...

Surface-enhanced Raman scattering

© 2007 American Institute of Physics, S-0031-9228-0711-020-6 When light interacts with matter, it can scatter inelastically from vibrational quantum states. During that process, photons may lose energy to, or gain it from, vibrational excitations. A change in the photon energy must produce a concomitant shift in the frequency of the scattered light (see box 1). The phenomenon, called the Raman ...

Surface-enhanced Raman scattering

On the basis of different types of experiments, we develop implicitly the model of surfaceenhanced Raman scattering (SERS) of adsorbates on metal s u r f a c g . The long-range enhancement by resonances of the macroscopic laser and Stokes field is separated quantitatively from the metal eledmn-mediated resonance Raman effect. The latter mechanism proceeds b y increased electron-photon coupling ...

Hyper Raman Scattering in Microcavity Quantum Wells: A Quantum Optical Process in the Strong Coupling Regime

We analyze the hyper Raman scattering process in a quantum well grown inside a semiconductor microcavity and present a microscopic calculation of emission spectra as a function of excitation energy, detuning, and angles. The exciton±photon coupling is treated non-perturbatively to include polariton effects and the Coulomb interaction between electrons is treated beyond the mean field approximat...

Surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) and surface-enhanced resonance Raman scattering (SERRS): a review of applications.

Surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) and surface-enhanced resonance Raman scattering (SERRS) can provide positive identification of an analyte or an analyte mixture with high sensitivity and selectivity. Better understanding of the theory and advances in the understanding of the practice have led to the development of practical applications in which the unique advantages of SERS/SERRS have ...
